CADsmit — Free Autodesk Inventor 2027 course
Free Autodesk Inventor 2027 course for engineering students: 11 video lectures in order — sketching and constraints, part modelling, sheet metal, assemblies and DIN engineering drawings.
Unit 01 — Getting started
- Introduction to Inventor 2027 (10:37) — Interface tour, projects, templates and the file types you will use all course.
Unit 02 — Sketching and constraints
- Understanding constraints (Part 1) (14:27) — What constraints are, degrees of freedom, and getting a sketch fully defined.
- Tangent, parallel & concentric (Part 2) (14:32) — Geometric constraints in practice on real profiles.
Unit 03 — Part modelling
- Rectangular pattern, shared sketches & mirror (14:10) — Reusing one sketch for several features, rectangular patterns and mirroring.
- Practice exercise: Lever handle (12:00) — Circles, tangent arcs and trim to build a lever handle from a drawing.
- Circular pattern, chamfer & thread (16:41) — Part exercise with circular patterns, chamfers and modelled threads.
- Curved Disk: Project Geometry & cylinder cuts (15:20) — Projecting geometry onto a plane and cutting through a cylindrical body.
Unit 04 — Sheet metal
- Sheet metal bracket (17:48) — Face, flange, hem, unfold and the flat pattern for a bent bracket.
Unit 05 — Assemblies
- Place, rotate & ground parts (18:57) — Placing components, rotating them into position and grounding the base part.
- Motion constraint, Content Center & Insert (21:34) — Rotation and motion constraints, Content Center screws and the Insert constraint.
Unit 06 — Drawings
- Base, isometric & section view (14:58) — Title block, sheet size, drawing scale, base and isometric views and section A-A.
